About ALC

Curated community for association leaders.

The Association Leaders Collective is built for senior executives who lead a specific function at their organization, and who are looking for a small group of peers to think alongside.

01
On Zoom, on RallyBoard
Monthly or quarterly conversations hosted on the RallyBoard platform.
02
Executive mastermind
Modeled on the executive mastermind format. High trust conversations, off the record.
03
Under twenty peers
Cohorts of fewer than twenty relevant peers, organized across multiple role-based Collectives.
04
Async between sessions
Resource sharing and async communication between groups, so the value compounds.
05

How it works

Simple by design.

Meeting Format

Hosted on Zoom, typically 90 minutes. Sessions follow a consistent structure so members know what to expect and chairs can run them lightly.

  • 01
Shared challenges. The chair opens with a topic the cohort is collectively navigating.
  • 02
Peer exchange. Structured discussion on how members are approaching the problem at their organizations.
  • 03
Open conversation. Whatever is on people's minds. Side threads. Relationship building.
  • 04
    End. Simple.

Eligibility

ALC is deliberately small. Membership is reserved for people who meet the criteria of their Collective and bring a peer perspective to the conversation.

  • Must work at a membership-based association, society, or consortium.
  • Must meet the seniority requirements of the Collective you are applying to.
  • Applications are screened by RallyBoard and passed to cohort Chairs for final review.
  • Chairs may also selectively invite participants until their cohort is full.

Frequently asked

Common questions.

Is there a cost to participate?

No. ALC is free. Membership is provided at no cost to participants.

How is confidentiality handled?

Confidentiality norms are set by the Chair with input from participants at the start of each cohort. RallyBoard provides optional AI notetakers with an anonymized notetaking format, so insights can be captured without attributing comments to individual members.

Can I serve as a Chair?

Yes. We are open to standing up new cohorts within existing Collectives, and to launching entirely new Collectives if we do not currently support your executive function. Reach out and we will start the conversation.

What is RallyBoard's role?

RallyBoard provides the platform and operational support for ALC. That is the extent of our role. ALC is our way of giving back to the association community. The conversations belong to the chairs and the members.
